Hi Everyone.
Just found this website, now that we're just about to submit our application, but better late than never...
I have a question though about something that is troubling me.
My husband and I are married, since December 2005.
In the checklist for visa 136 (General Skilled - Independent), it says that you should provide supporting documentation to prove that you are in a genuine and continuous relationship.
Can I ask you guys - what did you send? What is adequate?
While we are married, we don't share a mortgage, bills or bank accounts. Are we screwed???
Sorry Folks,
I've been reading more posts and someone else seems to have asked the same question.
I already have 2 declarations by family and friends and some various other joint documentation, so I think I'll send that all along with the marriage cert - just to be on the safe side.
Sure you'll be absolutely fine with that, we just sent marriage certificate and had no probs. Think its only if you have been married less than a year that you need to send extra documentation.
Good luck!

Im not married, have partner of 5 years. My agent told us to supply utility bills, bank statements, etc some evidence can be in single names going to the same address. I also included letters and photos with dates on them. According to my agent the minimum period is only 1 year, although it would be better for you to provide evidence dating as far back as possible. Good luck.
