case file number????

Hi all
our agent has told us that we can expect to get our case file ref number six weeks from our visa been acknowledged which was the 26th june. Does this mean we get a case officer or is that another wait?????

Sorry Nathan but yes it is another wait, but it does seem to vary I received a file no on 23rd April and CO on 15th May and I am still waiting for the process to be completed. Other people on the website have had to wait much longer. I think it depends on the MODL list.

Sorry Nathan, Monty is right as my agent keeps saying be patient and wait

Visa application subbmitted 30th March and haven't had an acknowledge yet,so i think you is one of the lucky ones.

Yes Monty just sit it out and wait. I'm in the same boat as you and there's not a thing I can do. Sitting here waiting for and email from them and the time is up.My timing seems to be the same as yours. I've been told not to get in contact with them to hurry Oz skills up or they WILL put you back.

HI JUST A QUICKY TO THOSE WITH ACKs

IS THE ACK WHEN YOU GET AN E-MAIL OFF THEM WITH A RECIPT NUMBER ON IT ?

I got my case file number when I received my acknowledgement letter although on my letter it is called file reference. I have been informed that this is the same thing.

Have you got your acknowledgement letter yet?

Sorry guys, I am 99% sure it is not, that is just a reciept for payment, we got that 6 weeks after they took our money, were told it would be abother 6 weeks before we got ack.

When I received my receipt I also got an acknowledgement letter. (it could be that my agent kept hold of my receipt and sent them both together, my receipt is dated 19th May and acknowledgement letter was dated 14th June)

I have a receipt number on one letter, and a file reference number and an ISCE request ID on the acknowledgement letter (dont know what that is :)).

I have been told by my agent that file reference number is same as case file number.

In returning any correspondance to Adelaide them I have to quote file reference number and ICSE number.

We also haven't received anything, abosolutely nothing even tho' payment was taken at the end of May.

It's definitely a test of patience this whole waiting game and it's not one I'm enjoying.
