welshsharon
I know there have been huge waits for diploma nurses but I was just wondering how long it's taking for AHPRA to process applications from degree nurses.
Mrskelly2014
I know there have been huge waits for diploma nurses but I was just wondering how long it's taking for AHPRA to process applications from degree nurses. I am degree trained. Mine arrived 10th October and still waiting!! Hoping I'll have an outcome within the next 2 weeks. I know one of the other girls sent hers off just before Xmas and received hers this week so it seems there's no structure or timeframe to it! Pinkestlady
I am really confused by the whole AHPRA registration process. I am about to apply for a skilled independant visa. Aiming to be there in June. I also have a nursing degree. What documents did you guys send to support your application to register? Any advice gratefully received. Cheers
xxlornaxx
go on ahpra website, it will tell you all documents you need to provide..you need ID..NMC documents..academic transcript..qualification..statement of service from employer/s..cant remember what else but everything is on website and easy to follow, i made up a list from website info and ticked off as i got them
Pinkestlady
I must be reading too much into it. It seemed really complicated when I looked. Also I don't have a visa yet so I'm not sure I can apply yet, which sucks if it takes that long to get registered.
xxlornaxx
no you can apply before you have visa, its not complicated, just time consuming
Pinkestlady
Excellent, thanks for the info and advice. I can't wait to not have to think about paperwork for a while lol!

Pinkestlady
Not yet, focusing on visa application first and foremosttheb will get cracking on AHPRA. Now I see we have to have an international criminal check?! This is getting ridiculous.
xxlornaxx
Its just a form..pretty quick n easy
Pinkestlady
It's more the additional cost that's bothering me. I have already paid for a uk Police check. And spent a day doing an English language exam paying £145 for the pleasure. Born in England, English is my first language. So many hoops to jump through. I will of course pay, as we are desperate to get out there. Just having a moan.
xxlornaxx
Yeah I had to do that test 3 or 4 times to get all 8s that I needed for visa points..then I come here n meet loads of ppl wth PR who speak none or minimal english! Anyway once its all out the way you'll forget abt all the hoops n enjoy the experience of aus

northernstyle
i submitted my aphra application in mid may 2014, received end of may. i'm degree trained, anmac forwarded the docs to aphra, but they basically requested them all again, wanting their own copy of transcripts, verification of registration etc. i received my Letter of eligibility on 15th september 2014. welshsharon
After an email from AHPRA requesting more documentation, all paperwork is now complete and my file has progressed. Not sure what this means in the grand scheme of things but it does mean that there is nothing else I can do other than try to be patient. Difficult to do as I had my 489 visa granted yesterday

Pinkestlady
I've just had a thought. I have applied for our 189 visa and have uploaded all documents inc PCCs. In my EOI I have not claimed points for years experience, therefore I have not added any professional references. Does anyone think I should do this anyway? Or should I just leave it as is? xxlornaxx
I didnt claim for experience so didnt put in prof refs n it was fine...theirs no need for them..only evidence u need is to prove the points ur claiming..I would leave it.. nineyb27
Hi There, Congratulations to those who have recently had their successful LOD from APHRA. Could I please ask what information did you/ your Uni send for Criteria 8 - "certification that your course covered medicine management including drug calculation, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics?'
welshsharon
I'm not exactly what they sent, I emailed them and listed what was needed for criteria 8 and they sent it direct with my transcript and accreditation letter. They have probably done this numerous times for others. Good luck with your application.
