So blue today.... anyone who doesn't know we are waiting and waiting and waiting for our 'certifcates of good conduct' from Qatar.... and 2 dead lines which our case officer gave us have come and the last one is about to go....
I spoke to the embassy again yesterday and as usual i was brushed aside and told oh at least another 3 months.....
Spoke to our agents and was advised to write a letter to our case officer with all the details and proof that we have done as much as we can to get these stupid checks.... which we have done with every scrap of evidence including cheque stubs, royal mail receipts, and letters etc and these have now gone off to oz....
our agents say that may be and it is only a may be, our visa will be granted as we have shown to have done all we could to get the checks...
so my question is... has anyone heard of a visa being granted like this or are our hopes being raised for no reason?

dont know the answer to this but i have my fingers crossed for you that they do, its bad enough waiting for the visa to come without having another 3 month delay added. hopefully it will be resolved soon

Thanks Donna.... that 3 month will make it 5 months in the end and whos to say more months won't be added!!!
i keep seeing people who applied the same time as us get theirs and i am SO happy for them... but then at the same time i keep thinking... that should be us!!!

FOUR Asians who murdered another Asian and then ate his body were caught when one of their victim's finger was found in the stomach of one during treatment for acute food poisoning, the daily Al-Sharq newspaper said today.
The Qatari newspaper said the four men had to seek emergency hospital treatment after eating part of the corpse, various bits of which, including a finger, showed up on hospital X-rays.
It said their victim was also of Asian origin, and that the affair, unprecedented in Qatar, was now in the hands of prosecutors.
Might be the reason why they are too busy to do your checks???

And you are right.... this will keep them bust till next year - AT LEAST!!!.....
Really hope you get it resolved soon, I'm sure the case officer is human and realises you cant do anymore than you've already done, fingers crossed for you
