I read with interest an article on the net the Australian, a newspaper and it has raised some concerns i have over here in Blightey.
I am hoping to take my family to Oz for many reasons but one of them is the Mass influx of shall we say our "ethnic friends" that is swaying me away. This country has for too long allowed any tom dick and harry into these shores without hardly any stringent application process and all in the name of " National Diversity "
Now they bomb us and try to enforce their cultural way of life upon us..Crazy
I thought Australia was more hardline on this and other issues but it seems not as can be discovered from this extract from the paper.
ABOUT a dozen Muslim clerics have been identified as key hardliners preaching fundamentalist messages potentially influencing thousands of followers throughout Australia.
But one of the clerics, Bilal Dannoun, yesterday dismissed as "preposterous" claims revealed in The Australian yesterday by John Howard's Muslim advisers that the Wahabi clerics were potentially radicalising up to 3000 young Sydneysiders alone.
3000 people in Sydney alone ?
I may try to emmigrate to India as it seems they have all left that country so it should be peaceful there.

There was a thread on here a while ago about how the Prime Minster had the situation regarding the Muslims all under control and he was saying 'Our way or now way' (words to that effect anyway) and was threatening to deport the Muslims is they tried to enforce their values onto the Aussies!!! Can't think who posted this now???
I have to say that there are alot of reasons that we are moving for don't let these people stand in your way!

Thanks for that, i hope i don't sound too racist as i'm not, but if by expressing my opinion on issues i feel concern my ethnic background and resisting the ever increasing imposure of other cutural backgrounds on me and my family then hey i am a Racist by that nature.
The right to defend my ethnic beliefs and there was a theory that once upon a time there was a thing in this country called " Freedom of Speech " that along with other imposed things from a Nanny State has been eroded to the point where by the use of it is condemned and possibly land you in court.

hey kdal I remember that thread too - what I thought was good was the way Howard and the other MPs were hardcore about it but it totally wasn't about race - it was about people who choose to take their creed too far and make that their overriding issue rather than abiding by the laws of Oz. (of course a few people accused that of being racist but if I (and the Oz government!!) don't think it's right that people hate me just cos I'm not Muslim and don't practise Muslim laws I reckon that's a dodgy definition of racist)
To be honest I do usually keep my gob shut about things like this cos it's such a dangerous minefield!!
However, it doesn't actually matter what colour or creed people are - if they try to blow people up they are not cool and I don't like them!!!

No I am not racist either and it is a delicate subject. Sorry the post was quick only my Mum knocked on the door so I finished quickly rather than re-type it!!
If I had the time (got to do tea) I would try and dig the thread out for you as it may make you feel a little better about things. I totally understand what you are saying and you too Abi, why cannot be putting ourselves in danger and all for the good of doing good for others and that is how we are repayed!! It's abit like biting the hand that feeds you and it gives you a sick feeling in your gut!!
I run my own business in the UK and it has left me feeling very disappointed, my business is being taken away from me as our local council claim they are skint!! I rent the land and now my right to renew lease is not worth the paper it is written on, I am being chucked off and havent repaid my business loan so could very well lose everything I have worked for - Where does that leave me!! With no home!! If that is the way that we can treat our own people then I do not want to be part of this country anymore, I feel very hurt and disappointed in the whole system! I know its a different agenda to the one that you have addressed but the bottom line is it is the same people 'The Government' that have done this. Surely it would cost them more money to pay to home myself husband and kids than it would to at least give me the opportunity to repay my business loan first!!
Rant over sorry guys but like youself Heywood Monkey, had something to get of my chest!
So there you have it, the bottom line and how I feel too. The Government are not looking after people how they should be and are putting us all at risk in one way or another!!!
A lot of sunshine might make me feel a whole lot better (ile be slaughtered for saying that LOL)

If we have any "problems" with our Muslim community the response (if any!) from the Police is 'it's their culture, live with it or move' (that's a direct quote from the police officer who came when my neighbour was actually physically assaulting the children who live in the street!!) And to be honest, after 3 weeks of calling the authorities to deal with this man....the police only came when he called them to say we were shouting racist comments at HIM!! What a joke!! I wouldn't lower myself or give him the pleasure of calling me a racist!! This isn't just a one off. The authorities are scared to deal with any minorities. And now that we have opened the flood gates to Europe we have no chance. A police officer told me that it's not worth trying to prosecute anyone unless they are white, English and working, because they won't/can't pay the fines or show up at court so it's not worth spending the money to try to prosecute them . Also they are concerned about being labelled racist by the criminals.
So we will take the police officer's advice and let them get on with whatever their culture allows.....and MOVE!!!

Also, i'd just like to say that I don't in any way think that all ethnic minorities are criminals, just that those those that ARE criminals seem to get away with it!! (Is that enough to absolve myself of any backlash?? Prob not!! But I hope I haven't offended anyone!! Of course!!)

i dont think anyones being racist ,coming from the likes of Bury,Heywood,Blackburn etc we have dealt and had issues in our communitys and are probably against the muslim community because of this.From the short time ive spent out here you do get the impression ,its the aussie way or ''do one!'' which isnt a bad thing.There isnt the political correctness here (yet) and a minority wouldnt be able to rule the nest as they do in the uk.Rest assured its a million times better out here(until they arrest a Dr at brissy airport !)

Well we can out do you on the arrest front.....2 guys were arrested in Blackburn yesterday on suspected terrorism acts. Don't know any more than that, could turn out to be innocent of course!!
