step parents

Hi everyone,

My agent sent off our application in March, still waiting for a case ref. number, but I've had a worrying thought.
Both mine and my husbands parents are re-married, but we have never considered them step parents as they re-married after we left home, my mum only got married a couple of years ago. As we've never lived with these new additions to our family we didn't include them as step parents on our application. Was this the right thing to do? It never even occurred to either of us at the time that they should be on there. My mums husband has got children that I have never met, are they my step brothers/sisters? Should they have been included?

Can anyone give me their thoughts on this? Should I be worried?

I hope I don't add to your stress levels, hopefully one of the agents can answer this for you, I can only answer with what I did.

I did include names and details of step parents, my mum re-married, again like yours after I left home and he does have a 19 year old daughter. I have included them on our visa application. I assumed it was in case my mum wanted to come out and live after we get permanent residency and wants to bring her husband, though again, I'm not sure if this is the right assumption.

I really hope somebody can help clear this up for you. Maybe, when you get a case officer, if they need to know this they will request it.

Hi our application went in on 22 feb we have a co and had meds etc done my husband also has step parents we included them we dont have much to do with them but thought that we should put them down,not sure if this would be a problem i would of thought that once you have a co they may ask if they need further info sorry carnt be much help but im sure all is ok

Thanks for the replies, I'll just wait and see if its asked for when I get a case officer, I'm a little concerned it'll look like I've got something to hide, which of course is'nt the case!
I'm going to try and chill out, deep breaths.........

Its been a while since we've heard anything, hubby thinks I'm starting to invent things to worry about!!!! Sure I'm not alone on that,
