The fact you lied on your application will show you in a very bad light if you get questioned. They will use that to say.. You've lied once.. why should they believe anything you say to them. What kind of visa? Tourist? Working holiday? If it were something like that, I would be tempted to cancel it and apply again declaring properly the next time.
