TRA skill pathways - uniform assessment criteria

      Hi all
Noticed there have been a lot of posts on here recently needing info on skills/training to pass TRA assessment so thought l'd post this info for everyone.
The wording is exactly as it is shown on the TRA pages so good luck to everyone.

      http://www.workplace.gov.au/NR/rdonl...ia4Oct2006.pdf

If it doesnt work the basis is:-
      Skill Pathway A: Formal Apprenticeship
      Minimum Employment - 4 yrs
Training Requirement - 900 hrs formal training (incl of employment)
      Specific Requirements - Regulated Apprenticeship

      Skill Pathway B: Informal Apprenticeship
      Minimum Employment - 5 yrs
Training Requirement - 900 hrs formal training (incl of employment)
      Specific Requirement - none

Skill Pathway C - Vocational Traineeship
      Mimimum Employment - 5 yrs
Training Requirement - 1800 hrs formal training (incl of employment)
      Specific Requirement - Recognised Traineeship

Skill Pathway D - Work Experience
      Mimimum Employment - 6/7 years*
Training Requirement - Verifiable skill level transition process
      Specific Requirement - None

Skill Pathway E - Australian Qualification
Minimum Employment - 900 hrs** or 4 yrs***
Training Requirement - CRICOS AQF III
Specific Requirement - Acceptable Workplace assessment

      * 7 years for electrical trades
      ** For Australian trained applicants
***For AQF holders who have undergone acceptable workplace assessment

If anyone cant use the link and wants specific info on a particular pathway l will type that out but as there was 9 pages of it l thought better for now

Thanks Kim, thats a good suggestion too.

Just wanna add to my original post for everyone else that l am no expert, l was just doing some hunting for myself on behalf of another family member. l had spoken with our agent a month or two back and completely forgotten what he had said and was too embarassed to phone him again and probably waste his time

      Hi Lyn,

Just reading up info on AQFIII, as my husband will be applying for his in Occtober when the S.Trowel are back in the Uk & I found your post, I noticed that you used to live in Hertfordshire, the same as us! We are hoping to move to the Sunshine Coast area (although still researching) Be great to hear from you, mayby you could let me know which agent you used, if they were local?

      Kind Regards,
      Kelly
