best removal firm and taking your car

Hi Everyone. We are getting closer every day to the big MOVE. Can I have some suggestions of the best firms to move our stuff from the UK to NSW.
I have also looked at the cost of cars in OZ!!! Anyone got any experience in shipping their cars from UK to Australia? If so any tips? Cost and taxes would be a good start.

Hi

There have been loads of posts about this. It appears that it is really expensive to take your car. I believe that you have to get it clean/fumigated then pay a tax as well which I think may be higher if your car is under a certain age. I think if you have an "average priced" car the feeling would be to sell it and buy over there. I think someone last week said they picked up a Toyota yaris (not called that there) for a reasonable price.

Also Crown, I think is the name of a company that has had good recommendations on this site, look for a post from CalnGary as I think they used them. Another is Allied Pickfords, one thing people do suggest is to try and haggle on the price.
