Medicals
Hi guys we are going for our meds next teusday we recieved forms to fill in before we go but noticed that only cash or cheque is the expected way to pay so phoned this morning to be told that we can only pay this way has everybody had to pay like this? as i think nearly a grand is alot of money to carry round.
Also can you all tell me if your little ones 2 and under have had to do a water sample i also asked this and she said yes i then went on to say i will get little one to do it in potty with me as she will only do it when at home this also seems to be unexceptable she has to do it there any experiences on this would be a great help thanx

Hi Nic
We paid by debit card and my 2 year old didn't have to do a wee sample, just as well they would have to have taken it from her nappy, good luck for next week.

We paid by debit card too had to transfere some money from our savings. It was fun getting my two who were 11 & 6 at the time to do a urine sample - they'd never had to do one before.

I wrote a cheque... and that was fine by the surgery even though my bank card only guarentees a £100 cheque... they didn't even question it.
As for the wee sample all my boys had to give one... the 10 and 6yr olds just did it no questions... my 3 yr old had to be talked to nicely and eventually did it in a cup... thought it was funny and wanted to do it again!!!... must be a boy thing!!

Take or ask for gloves, kids seem to enjoy peeing on their parents hands!!

Hi, where are you having your meds done? We went last year to Handsworth Woods Medical acentre and for the four of us it cost about £500. My 2 year old didn't have to do a sample, she would have done it, she actually wanted to do it.
We paid cash for ours.
