Visa in passport

Hi,

Does anyone know how long you get to send off your passports once your visa has been granted?

We are going to Oz for a recce later in the year, if our visa's are granted before then we now dont want to validate them as we will loose the extra baggage allowance. So if anyone knows the answer that would be great.

There was a thread on this before. If your visas granted you have to validate them the first time you enter Australia. If you apply for an ETA after your visa granted it cancels your visa you already have.

Thanks AJ! Do you know what would happen if we sorted our ETA now, I take it the PR visa would cancel that one!
