Talking skilled migrant e-mail???

hi all,
just got an e-mail from oz government telling me about a new web site, www.skilledmigrant.gov.au , we leave uk in june but we will be travelling round a bit before we settle in nsw. it says you can register on this site your skills ,qualifications ,etc, to help you locate work, my question is this , as we will be travelling round we won't be looking for work immediatley, so do you have to register on this site?, or is it voluntary?. we are on the skilled 136 visa and i should stand a good chance of getting work, welding etc, through my family/ word of mouth.

with so much going on i just don't feel like filling out more forms ,on line or not.

johnd

hi gizmo,
we are moving to the illawarra, sort of albion park/fig tree area. i lived there in '91-'92 with my relatives, i've got cousins there and i liked the climate and the place generally. i'm aware that the employment situation isn't the best in oz but its got to be better than north east uk, and anyway if we struggle we wouldn't rule out moving to another part of oz, but definatley not back to the uk. my wife and i just cannot wait, it will be the biggest adventure of our lives, BRING IT ON!!!!!!.

We will definately use this one....... we should hopefully be in Oz Sept/October 07, so might register a bit before, it would be great to get a job lined up before we leave coz its more than a bit scary going out with NO job atall !!!!!!! We must be mad .....
