Emigrate Shows

Have not actually made it to one yet, and now with all the info I have found through this and other sites, I am kinda wondering whether or not to bother. There is bound to be another one in October.

What do you guys reckon?

Hi there
We went to one in February past and it was alright, but to be honest have had more info from PIO. There were just a few agents there, a stand with skills on demand, a couple of banks and a couple of removal companies.
Didn't

Hi there
We went to one in February past and it was alright, but to be honest have had more info from PIO, as everyone is so helpful. There were just a few agents there, a stand with skills on demand, a couple of banks and a couple of removal companies.
Didn't really get the chance to speak to anyone we wanted to (as so busy) except one agent, who we are still considering whether or not to use.
Cost £6 per adult, which was ok but wouldn't have missed much if we hadn't gone.
They had seminars on, but these were not running on a sunday (didn't know til we got there) and cost about a tenner each. Cannot comment on how useful they were likely to be.
It put a sunday morning in for us if nothing else.
Good luck
Ang.

Hi, we were all set the go to the expo at Earls Court Ibis Hotel last month but our son ended up in hospital so we couldn't go. However 2 sets of friends went (independant of each other) and they both said it wasn't really worth the time or money. There were apparantly shipping companies, migration agents, finance/banking, and a few companies looking for emloyees to sponsor but not much info. on education or real real estate which is what we needed. It cost £15 each to get in, parking was £14 and travel expenses would have been £40. So all in all an expensive day for not much gain unless you live close by. We were planning to go to one later in the year in Manchester but don't think we'll bother. The PIO guys are all living the experience and can give first hand advice, this is good enough for me.
Good luck,
Jen xx
