45 and needing advice!!!!

I was wondering in anyon can help me!!! My lovely Aunt has wanted to move to Oz for a while now. She sent her TRA off over a year ago and was rejected as she didnt have enough experience. After chatting to her last night, i thought i'd come on here and ask the question...........she has been managing a day car nursery for over 2 years now and has btec certificate in childcare. I dont know, but is this enough to re-apply now and if so, has she any chance of getting a visa bearing in my mind she will be 46 in december 2007????????????
Can anyone help me???? please?????????
Hays

I think Hays that as she is already 45 she is to old. I'm not certain but I think she would have to have an employer sponsor her.

Maybe someone else will know more.

Hi all

My own knowledge of the details of these visas is confined to Parent visas and tourist visas. I know very little about skilled visas.

The ENS visa and the RSMS visa both enable exceptions to be made on the ground of age and/or work experience if the visa-applicant is an exceptional candidate for employment. According to Welshtone, this is less difficult to prove if the skill is on the MODL.

I know that Childcare Coordinator is on the MODL. Please see here:

http://www.immi.gov.au/asri/occupati...or-1295-11.htm

I don't know what a Btec Certificate is? Is it a degree? Have you looked on Google Australia to see whether Norlands Nannies have a branch out in Oz? Or is there an equivalent organisation? A respected childcare organisation with clout in thir field would be the people most likelty to be able to get your aunt round the problems. It is not easy trying to get sponsorship, however, because a lot of employers don't want the hassle.

I think your aunt should not get her hopes up unduly but if she can find someone to sponsor her, she might be in with a chance. I think she would need an expert to handle the TRA and the visa application for her, though.

Let's not give up on the idea just yet, I would say.

Cheers

Gill

Hi Hayley hun,

I will have a look and see what i can find for sponsorship in that trade and let you know hun but cant promise anything, you may have to do what i have done and go on seek.com and just apply for every job you see that she can do and is qualified for. I will still have a look hun.

Lynne

Child care

I'd be looking at using the RSMS as the most likley answer to the problem.
The exemptions for age will go to 50 and if looking for work on the wa mid north coast i think that there may be a bit of a chance. Check www.yellow pages .com.au and look under child care in any of the mid north coast towns. Contact the child care centres and explain your situation. I would use and agent as the easier it is for the employer the better the chance. RSMS is only 2 years and the wa coast is lovley.
