Paying visa app with debit card?

Hi
Has anyone paid their visa app using their debit card through the post?
We ticked debit card box then wrote our debit card no in the space provided and speaking to others ,now think we may have made a mistake.
Shouldn't think it will hold things up too much but any light shed on it woult be appreciated

Hi there,
we will be doing the same as recommended by our bank, as if you use a credit card you are insured for any loss, if you send a money order the money comes out of your bank when they write it, even if it hasnt been cashed in oz,

I have not heard or read of any problems or delays due to paying by these means.

Thanks ,but are you using a credit card as opposed to a debit card? My point is that i don't think they accept debit card details unless you are there in person to give a pin number.

Hi, sorry I missed the debit card bit
Yes I am using credit card as debit cards dont have any insurance, if the DIAC have any issues with the use of your debit card, they will contact you. So I wouldnt worry too much.

Woody i paid mine with my Credit ard and there was no problem, i was advised against paying with my Debit Card as it may have to be verified by your bank. Visa was perfect.
