Help! Any tips for RPL skills assessment for IT jobs

My hubby is applying for the skills assessment with the Australian Computer Society at the moment and it is a nightmare! He has to prove he has experience in 14 areas of the IT Core Body of Knowledge (CBOK) plus submit 2 project reports and 2 technical work references because his degree is not in IT. Has anybody else had to do this and if so, have you any advice? Do you need to meet all 14 areas of the IT CBOK cos he hasn't got one of them. Also, how much do you need to write under each one - a page? Less? And, what kind of stuff did the references say? How long does it take to receive a positive assessment back?

It normally takes 6 to 10 weeks to get a result from the ACS for RPL.

Can't really give you specific advice, as every RPL applicant has his/her unique set of circumstances. As I happen to specialize in RPL cases, perhaps you might want to get your hubby to take a look at my website and send me his CV from there?
