Pre-loaded meds

Hi,

Please can you let us know where we can get the list of Doctors for our meds. We are hoping to pre-load our meds and obviously need to use one of the ones DIMIA are happy with, the only problem being we dont know where to get this info.

Can anyone help?

Many thanks
Ian and Lou

Medical examinations - forms 26 and 160

I tend to look at this webpage for the list of Panel Doctors in the UK and the forms 26 and 160:
http://www.australia.org.uk/lhlh/health.html

Best regards.

Hi,

It's important to remember that if you've front loaded meds and/or police checks then when your visa is granted you then normally have 12 months from the date of meds or pc's (whichever was done the earliest), to validate your visa. This may not be a problem, or may leave you with only a short time in which to validate your visa. It is sometimes better to wait for your acknowledgment which gives an indication of how long the wait for processing is - then to estimate when they may request medicals and have them done then.

Ali

That's a good point Ali, though we are seeing skilled visa applicants who lodged in mid to late November already being asked to provide medical examinations and police reports - methinks there is a push on to see a lot of skilled visa grants through the system before the end of this program year (30/06/2007).

It is an election year after all ... :-)

Best regards.

Thanks for all your replies.

We were thinking of pre-loading the meds a little while after our visa app is on it's way. We have a trip booked out there for September and really are hoping to be there this time next year, so hopefully having them in a month or so from now wont cause too much of a problem.

I'll have a look at the links you've posted - once again thanks.

Lou

The file number ensures that all your documentation meets up as things get sent to different places. The meds form have a place to put in your file number.

As Ali says, it would be best to await your file reference before arranging police certificates and medical examinations.

As a guide, the ASPC is presently issuing file references for applications that were received at the very beginning of February.

Best regards.
