Hi Em,
Yeah we were a bit dissapointed at first but can understand the reasons now, as far as they are concerned we could of bought his certificates off the net and filled them in ourself (of which we didnt). We are not using pathway D purely because we have found a way of getting his Apprenticeship officially recognised by the CITB, but if we couldnt of done this then Pathway B,C or D would of done. We can provide evidence of over 10 years in the trade, but we only sent the four that they asked for to use pathway A thinking all his certificates would of been enough.

Cheers Kim

Oh right see what you mean Kim, hope everything gets sorted. I know our friends had had to have all the certificates witnessed by a solicitor or something but they used a agent so she sorted them things out. Will def be looking into Pathway D to see if there is any possibility. Cant wait for OH to come in so I can tell him this might be a possibility lol.

Thanks again

Emma

Before getting a solicitor to certify your documents and paying them per copy, see the immigration website for a list of other people able to certify. We have a friend who is a teacher and she has done most of ours, but i have also approached a teacher at my kids school who has agreed to certify for me also. (basically all they are doing is signing to say that it is a copy of an original document that they have witnessed). If you require the specific wording for this let me know, it could save you some time and money. I believe the list includes policemen, magistrates, doctors and dentists to name a few (some of these will also charge for certiying if you dont know them personally)
