Advice needed on 'de facto' relationship. help!

Can anyone help me or tell me who to call to get some advice please. My OH and i have been together for over 5 yrs but even though we live together, we dont..... He spends most time at mine but i've been reading through the notes and can see that we need to prove household bills, joint bankaccounts, joint ownership of assets, or at least names on the lease etc as we arent married. anybody know what to do? we were planning on getting married after we got the visa through ( fingers crossed) but should we do it before? any advice would be really appreciated......
thanks
hays

hi there
we had the same problem..leanne and myself have been togever for 13yrs..not married and lived togever for 3 years ..we had to get family members to write about us ie: how we met..what partys we have been to ect..and they had to get the letters certified .We also had to send photos of us from years ago to prove that we had been togever..if you have any joint payment togever this would help in your case...hope this helps..lee & leanne

Hi lee and leanne,
thanks for your reply. we have loads of photos, also showing the kids growing up so it will give a good time line, and i'm sure family would help us out with certified letters, but in all honesty, the only thing we have together is the car insurance! everything else is seperate! i think we should just get married now and save all the hassle!!!
