2nd interview for AoS: Is there a time limit?

Hi all,

Has anyone had to make a second appointment with Centrelink regarding providing an Assurance of Support? If you need to attend a second time to clarify or provide further evidence/additional assurors/amended forms etc is there a dead-line? Or should I just take it that I can attend an interiew at Centrelink at any time as long as the DIMIA deadline is met? The lady from Centrelink at my interview told me to make another appointment but I forgot to ask about a timeframe.

I can't find any info on the net or in Centrelinks literature about this. Being able to get through on the phone might help  . I might even resort to using parchment and quill with a carrier pigeon soon.

Thanks guys

Louise

Hi Louise

Elaine & Neil didn't actually have to attend two interviews. Apparently at the interview the guy produced a form which had not been sent to them in advance and is not on the Centrelink website. This form was to do with Neil's income since 1 July 2006 since he is self-employed and the Interview was on 31 August 2006. Elaine said their tax accountant had already prepared everything Centrelink needed in relation to Neil but the guy wouldn't accept that and demanded completion of this other form instead. So Elaine found a desk, sat down and completed the form on the spot.

She said that once she had completed it (she does Neil's book-keeping anyway) she was not able to give it back to the original interviewer because by then he was interviewing somebody else.

I have heard of people having to have 3 or 4 interviews with Centrelink whilst they try to lick the AoS into shape. My impression is that it is time consuming and tedious more than anything else.

It might be worth ringing them (equally tedious) to find out whether they need you to make another appointment or whether you can just drop in with the amended TAN once you get it.

Cheers

Gill

How Goes It?

Hi Louise

I sent you a PM a couple of weeks back, before you went back to Centrelink. It was still sitting in my outbox on the old forum when Tim changed the software, so I'm not sure whether you got it or not.

If you see this message, how did it go? If the AoS sirted now and has the visa been granted?

Hope to hear from you soon, hun

Cheers

Gill
