Hi
We are nearing the end of Hubby's TRA application and have a quick question. We are doing the form ourselves so have no help/advice from an agent.
Hubby is a motor mechanic (only worked for 1 company) and we have listed approx 25 jobs and detailed them down to every last turn of the socket!! and have also included at the end of each description a list of the tools used. (Tried to give a good overall selection)
The question is, does his employer also need to list the individual jobs that OH has completed. He is going to confirm that he is an asset to company, confirm qualifications blah blah but does he also need to confirm the list of jobs capable of. If he does, then OH says letter will be pages long and at the end of the day, his friend who went to Oz as a mechanic didn't have to do it.
What do I do? Any help offered is very much appreciated - Joanne
Our agent wrote work reference company just scanned it onto employers computer, printed on headed paper and signed it make sure it is dated apparently this can cause problem if not. My oH mechanical services and air conditioning plumber.
We passed our TRA on Friday.
This is example of our work reference no more than 2 pages
This reference serves to confirm that (name) worked for (company) dats etc..................................
Then started with brief description of company who their business is turnover how many employees etc (1 paragraph)
I have provided details of duties.
(No detail needed.) we have 11 duties listed
Installing water pumps
fitting pumps
Installing gas mains etc
Next page
The tools used Listed are 13
Then final paragraph saying how great he was quality craftsman. I would reccommend contact me if neccessary.
That was all what was included in ours as i say no more than 2 pages long and did not need in depth detail. We did not write qualification on the reference not needed (well not for us)
i can't believe how generous everybody is on this site and how much time people obviously spend typing etc to help other people, for nothing in return other than a thank you.
