Whatever you read on there take it with a large helping of salt. Same goes for info on here, but in general I find the people on here to be a lot more friendly & helpful than some of the people who frequent BE.
Have you looked on seek.com.au to see what vacancies there are for you at the moment? It might give you an idea what jobs are out there at the mo.
At the end of the day I believe if you are flexible with your needs then you should be ok - however if you have children or a high-maintenance lifestyle then maybe aim for sponsorship or try to get some sort of job sorted before going? All up to you of course, and everyone's situation is unique.

Best of luck with it all, whatever you decide. :)

Job Outlook

As above, take Britexpats with big grain of salt...we are an education agent (we do not charge for our services and informed education and living advice) so accordingly we get bounced off BritExpats...it is moderated by migration agents who sometimes try to scare people into using their services.

See this site for regional work outlook http://jobsearch.gov.au/joboutlook

There are other other links on our site, feel free to look.

Cheers Andrew

Since when has british expats been moderated by migration agents I know for a fact one is a Tiler and the other works in IT and still lives in UK.

If you come on here trying to advise people and get them to use your services far enough but dont lie in the process.

Yes there are agents who read BE and this one but they dont moderate it.

I prefer this site because there seems to be none of the back biting and bitching that goes on there but there are some good people on there and the mods do a good job.

There are a few people using british expats who use this one who may also be a little mystified as to why you are saying this.

And your evidence of that assertion, Andrew?

Best regards.

Hi Kaye

On British Expats, JAJ, or Jeremy Alfred Jenkins, is a Registered Migration Agent and it says "moderator" under his name, so I assume he is one of the Mods?

Cheers

Gill

Hi Gill.

Jeremy has allowed his MARA registration to lapse, as he doesn't provide migration advice in Australia any more.

Best regards.
