We have slept on our decision overnight and have spent most of the afternoon trawling the web for a reputable agent. If you have any tips on wheres best and most reasonable we would really appreciate it.
C is on the Skills list and having done a quick assessment he scores over the minimum could we go it alone?
On a lighter note we went into our local Waterstones to get a book all about Oz and lo and behold the guy who served us was an Aussie who hailed from Sydney and came to the UK via Perth!! Also are then any books dedicated to the application process..... I like books and read them better than a computer screen :)

Saw your post and had to say 'hi' as a fellow Derbyshirian from Chesterfield - we lived at Heath, Woodthorpe and Clay Cross and moved to Australia (Brisbane) in 2003 - it can be a very small world.
Happy to chat some more if you wish to Private Mail (PM) or stop by the website and use the link there.
Do you have Skype ?
Look forward to a 'local' natter - whoever you use make sure the person dealing with your visa application is registered and preferably located in Australia (unless they have a great reputation for value and service provision locally).
