HI

What are the chances of getting in, if your career isn't on the "Wanted" list?

Has anyone got in that way?

Hi Loz ,
The way i understand it there is 2 lists. 1 is the trades they are desperate for ( quicker to get in ) and there is 1 where they recognise your skill but they are not crying out for . My OH is a gardener and we got 60 points for that. Hope that helps.

Have you looked into study pathways? http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/gener.../880/index.htm

Very practical ways as you do not need to commit e.g. sell your house etc. Study a 2 year programme which may give points for migration but allows you to work and live in Oz on temporary student visa...if you do not like you can return home.
