Date of the ASPC automated e-mail

I applied for my 136 visa on 25thof November. I know they have recieved it due to parcel packing. When should I recieve confirmation of reciept and what is this automated email people refer to?

Hi,If on your application you said you didnt mind being contacted by email, your acknowledgment will come via this..Ours included the receipt for payment..We sent ours of 15th July and got our email on 14th August..So heres hoping you hear soon.. I think in general people wait a month or a little over, but it is christmas so things may be a little slower :)

Whoops credit card debited on 11th and acknowledgment rec'd on 21st August

We're in the same position. We sent (or our agent did) our 136 application just over 3 weeks ago. Our visa application said that any correspondance would be sent to our agent so he will notify us when the confirmation is received. We have read elsewhere that there is currently a bit of a backlog in acknowledging the receipt of visa applications. We're watching the credit card balance to see when the money goes though.
