Hi,
I'm planning to go to South Australia on a SIR visa. After 2 years it's possible to apply for permanent residency, but I've been told that once
PR has been granted, the applicant is required to stay in the sponsoring state for another 2 years. Is this correct? That's 4 years in the same state, pretty bad if you'd like to move somewhere else! If I decide to move to another state after gaining permanent residency, would it affect my chances for renewed
PR or Australian citizenship? Grateful for any advice, it seems pretty scary to commit to staying 4 years in a place I haven't even visited yet...
