Latest Processing Dates?

Does anyone know the latest processing dates? I was keeping upto date with the post by Choobs but everyone has stopped posting on that one so can we start a new here! :D

If you send off a blank email to

aspc.processing@immi.gov

They will sent you an automated response giving you current processing times.

I too miss choobs's updates, but I guess it's a bit much to expect now the family are in Oz!!

So I have started doing this myself - here's last weeks

As of 24th October 2006 the Adelaide Skilled Processing Centre isallocating applications lodged on or before the following dates:

ONSHORE APPLICATIONS Student/Graduate Paper based applications:
24 July 2006 (subclass 880 ) and 28July 2006(subclass 881) and 6 July 2006 (subclass 882)E-lodged (online) applications:

12 July 2006 (all subclasses) Skilled Independent Regional (Provisional) (SIR VISA) Paper based applications: 30 July 2006E-lodged (online) applications:

1 June 2006 New Zealand All applications: 7 March 2006 (all subclasses)


OFFSHORE APPLICATIONS Applications for Classes BN, BQ and BR (subclasses 134, 136, 137, 138 and139)

Priority Applications: In the range of 18 to 20 April 2006

Non-Priority Applications: 4 April 2006 Skilled Independent Regional (Provisional) (SIR VISA)

Paper based applications: 9 June 2006

E-lodged (online) applications: 22 June 2006 Notes Onshore: means that the visa being applied for can be granted while the applicant is in Australia. e-lodged: applications lodged online have quicker processing times. See: Online Services - General Skilled Migration SIR visas: All applicants for a Skilled - Independent Regional [SIR] visa receive priority processing. Offshore: means that the visa being applied for can only be granted when the applicant is outside of Australia.

dates

hi i dont want to sound ignorant but the processing dates, what exactly in laymans terms does this mean?
is it the total expected time it would take from the time of application to receive the visa?

Jeff,
i think this is how it works mate:

You send your main application off and you get a letter back with the date it was received ( in my case June 14th )

The processing date is the date of the applications they are looking at, currenlty April 18th to 20th for priority offshore in my case.

When this processing date gets to June 14th they will be looking at mine and will give me a case officer, who will then look at my application, if everthing looks ok he will request medical and police checks.

If they come back ok your out of here!

This information is great, as sometimes it seems as if the applications are lost in a stack of mail.

Does anybody have any details of the time schedules at the Perth office which deals with parent applications.

Hello, Hayshake. I don't think they publish details for the parent visa applications, but some people seem to be reporting about a 9 month wait for a case officer, maybe even longer......
