      Visa 138 Skilled Australian Sponsored

      Hi,

We've been informed by our agent that the above visa is suffering from the same deprioritisation as the 136 visa that Neil mentioned in another thread.

Essentially, we've been told the case officers have currently been allocated to cover mid-July - September and expect to begin processing post September soon.

Our application was lodged in late November. I think what this means is that subclass 138 applications are running two months behind. What this means for us is that we should expect medical requests in June at the earliest rather than April.

It's not the end of the world, though it is disappointing. It's better than a rejection.

So, back to waiting then :)

      Cheers

Know how you feel like Neil we are on 136 and we thought we would hear end of Feb/March but not looks like May/June (October app) we were extremely hacked off but have now come to terms with the additional wait. Whats a few months from a lifetime!

      Hang in there

Aye - we were feeling that things were drawing to a close - house has sold with an entry date of April. We were going to rent our house from the new buyers for a few months and look to move in June.

From the letter, they mention that july - september are currently being processed. We spent some time last night trying to work out what that actually means in timescale terms but came to the conclusion that there's just no way to tell. We could still meet our June target, or it may be september, or maybe even next year. There's just no way to tell.

So, it gives us more time to save and more time to visit some more of Britain.

We probably are being a little previous in selling the house before we've had the visa confirmed but, if it all goes wrong with .au, we're going somewhere else anyway.

I'm not sure what the point of this post other than 'oh well, it'll either happen or it won't ' :)

      Cheers

Now I don't know how true this is because when people phone DIMIA they all seem to get told something different but we were told that the application would be reviewed within a 12 month period maximum and our agent confirmed 50 weeks. So as we sent ours in Oct 05 we are hopeful that we will at least hear something before October 06!

Good luck but prepare yourself for a long wait once you main app is submittted even though they will probably send you a letter saying 4-6 months before a case officer is assigned! Like you we are ACS 136

      Good luck
      Becca
