Will I be granted a working visa with a criminal record???

Hi there, I am wanting to apply for a working holiday visa but am worried I will be declined, I was given a 12 month prison sentence in a young offenders 10 years ago for abh and a drink drive disq 5 years ago, can anyone please advise on my chances, I currently run my own electrical business and am a fully qualified electrician....any advise or feedback would be much appreciated ...thanks

Many people before you and many people after you have and will be granted working holiday visas with criminal records. Just make sure you are open about it when you make your application.

There has recently been a revamp of the public interest (character) criteria. May I suggest that you take professional advice about this issue?
