Raelm
So, there's been an update, but I'm confused (it happens easily!) Does this mean that applications lodged post July 1st take priority in terms of processing over those lodged before July 1st?...

Applications with nominated occupations on the Skilled Occupation List Schedule 1. See: Skilled Occupation List ( 37KB PDF file) Order of processing will be: applications lodged from 1 July 2012 through SkillSelect applications within this priority for other GSM subclasses (subclass 175, 176, 475, 487, 885 and 886 applications).

Is that the case...it doesn't seem right if it is...? Edited July 5, 2012 by Raelm
lebourvellec
No applications have been lodged post 1 July yet. Processing pre-1st July is progressing as normal. http://www.immi.gov.au/media/fact-sheets/24apriority_skilled.htm
lebourvellec
Yes I agree it does not seem right - but with the current speed of processing applications - by the time the first round of invitations have been sent out - DIAC should hopefully not have so much of a back log of applications as there will have been no new applications for 1 month. Skillselect applicants get 60 days to lodge application once they receive an invite, alos there will be a set number of invites per round of invitations.
