Migration Agents
Has anybody got any advice/recommendations when using migration agents? I have already struck up a relationship with Overseas Emigration and am confident to sign to them. I just wondered what other people were up to.

Why not do it yourself? if your good at paperwork and have a straightforward application, then it should be fine. Nothing goes through any faster with agents, but they are there to give advice. Be careful who you use, poms in oz is a good place to find info. Good luck
We did it ourselves, 176 visa granted, moving to france then to oz in six weeks, Jen x

DIY is the way to go - you have to do all the work for the agencies anyway. They just tell you what to do (all the info is here) and pull your pants down at the same time.
It's up to you

Hi Mark
This is just to say that this thread is fine where it is and you have started it in the right section of the forum so there is no need to move it.
Cheers

Leaving aside the questionable (and wrong) assumptions about what an agent does, this thread is nearly 4 years old. To be closed perhaps ...?

Whats your motivation for wanting it closed I wonder????

That the OP is nearly 4 years old.
As I'm sure you know, I am happy to enter into a dialogue about the merit of using an agent ... those who assert that enquirers should not use a professional advisor when they know nothing about the circumstances of an enquirer are expressing a view based on incomplete knowledge.
Some have the abilities and temperament to manage the process without formal assistance. But not all do - and to simply say "don't waste your money on an agent" is ridiculous.
Best regards.

No need to close it! Perfectly valid question 4 years ago and now!

Actually, seeing the thread is four years old, I would have thought that the more considered response would have been for the moderator to have fired off a quick email to the OP to see what happened.
Did he use a RMA? Did he DYI? Did he even change his mind about migrating?
The responses to those questions from the OP would be far more illuminating than merely providing a forum for gratuitous insults along the lines of:
and pull your pants down at the same time
