Gaining Employment
Hi,
We are due to move later this year and I'm considering going out 6 weeks ahead of our move for 5 days to meet with recruitment companies and possibly line up some interviews while I'm there so I can get the ball rolling and hopefully find employment shortly after the perm move. I would appreciate views from anyone who has done this to find out if it was beneficial going, or if was better leaving it until you are a resident.
Thanks so much,
Rich

Hi Rich
I'm new to all this Aussie visa stuff, so sorry if this is a stupid question, but what kind of visa are you and your family entering the country on?
I guess from your post that you are moving, lock, stock and barrel into Oz, before you have a job, I didn't know that this was possible, is this the best way to find a job (to fly over and try to get interviews in person, rather than applying on-line from home)??
