Evidence of overseas work experience

Guys, i've been working for a company in Vietnam for three years and want to claim 3 years experience. Although i submitted letters from my company HR manager and my manager to confirm my years working for the company and details of tasks i've done, CO is still requesting either payslips or tax report. Due to the fact that companies in Vietnam normally don't provide payslips and tax reports are not readily available to individuals, i'm unable to provide them in the 28 day time frame. What did you guys do in this case? I think i will submit my employment contracts to them but not sure if they are sufficient.

The more the better. Definitely write a statutory declaration with as much detail as possible. Bank statements translated properly? were you paid into a bank account in Vietnam?

Yes, I do get paid to my vietnamese bank account, however the payroll accountant appears to be stupid. Sometimes the remittal message shows the abbreviation of my company name, sometimes it shows my company name in Vietnamese without accent (and that makes it imppossible for a translator to translate it for me. I however will submit my bank statements as well.

My 2 bob's worth would be; just explain all of this. Explain that the payroll system can be different to western countries however you are still eligible under the criteria. Hopefully your case officer has experienced Vietnam first hand!
