I'm a registered midwife but unfortunately I dont have enough points yet for a 175 visa so have to go down the sponsorship route. It seems like lots of agencies advertise for jobs on a 457 visa, I just wondered if this is something to avoid, should I contact employers directly? I know I will be expected to work for a prospective employer for 2-3 years under sponsorship but other than that I really don't know much about the whole process so any help would be great.
