Could anyone give me any information on the English test when applying for a visa

dont apply for visa if you need to sit the ielts 1st or you can lose your visa fee £2000!!!

if you go and look on www.immi.gov.au and see what visa applies for you then if you have to sit the ielts (most do) some have to sit the ielts as they dont have enough points for the visa, some occupations require you sit the ielts. it will give you the information you need on their website and what skills assessing authority (for your occupation) if ielts is required. it will tell you which is the relevant assessing authority. and if and when you sit the ielts make sure it is the correct test. there are 2 types: general training and academic. if ielts is needed for your skills then the relevant skills assessing authority will tell you on their website which test is relevant.
