Where / how do you apply for a UK passport for a new baby when you are on a 457 Visa

Hi,

Does anybody know what the procedure is for obtaining a UK passport for a new baby whilst we are living in Aus on a 457 business via?

Do you know how long it takes?

Download the forms and then make an appointment at the local post offce. The passports are processed in New Zealand.

Make sure you print off the appropriate checklist as well as the application form, and FYI, you'll get your documents back separately from the passport, as NZ processes the application then sends you your documents back, but the passport itself is printed in the UK so sent separately.

Well, there's this thing called Google.

You type 'british passport application form' into it and it gives you the answer.

My daughter is having a baby on 457 visa, do you know where she applies for a uk birth cert for the baby
She lives in Melbourne, any help would be great thanks.

Hi,

From what I have read you don't apply for a uk birth certificate you obtain an Australian one, the uk recognise certain countries birth record systems, therefore a uk is not needed.

I am not sure where you get the Aussie birth certificate in Melbourne but I will ask at work

Otherwise just fill out Form C2 and take it to your local post office for the passport processing
