Vetassess reference checks for professional occupations

Hey all,

I applied to Vetassess for an assessment as an HR Adviser and my boss attached a full work reference. I wondered what kinds of checks they do on the reference as my boss is worried they phone her and she says the wrong thing!

Just wondered what other people's experiences were for professional occupations so I can give her some hints for what might come.

They never contacted my employer. My impression is that they will only contact your employer if your application is randomly selected for additional review. They will only confirm what's already in the reference letter (that you actually perform the duties that were listed).

We submitted our skills assessment on 13th March for HR Advisor. Have you heard anything from VETASSESS yet? Our agent told us it would take between 12 - 16 weeks. I was wondering if they would contact all our referees and what they would ask them! We are hoping to get the skills assessment back sooner, fingers crossed!

Nothing yet but hopeful it's picked up soon and not selected for random checking!

I also submitted to VETASSESS in March and was acknowledged and paid on the 27th March for HR Advisor.

I'm honestly hoping that it would come through asap.

Please keep me posted on any updates seeing that we submitted at around the same time.

Have you heard anything from Vetassess?

I thought you would like to know that a friend of mine submitted her skills assessment to Vetassess on the 13th March 2012 heard back on the 2nd May 2012.

Let's hope we get our +ve outcome soon.

They never contacted my employer as well and for me it took 9 weeks for completion so hoping for you it takes less than 12-16 weeks! I also got my positive assessment on the 2nd of May! :)
