Decision Ready Visa application conundrum - 121 application

Hello I am fairly new to this forum, but have been looking at info for weeks and found I must register. Visa Applications and Migration specialists, rules and regs is a far murkier world than I ever envisaged. I am not sure if pushing the Migration specialist for answers is helping , so hence registering to get some experienced answers, I know everyones experience is different, but I am a bit stuck. When i set out on this my migration expert said VETASSES will take 8-12 weeks and the rest of the application would take two months - that was last April.

I wonder if anybody can tell me how to get a DRC. THe panel doctors wont do my medical without a HAPS number. I can not get a HAPS number without a Visa application lodged. I cant get a DRC without a medical already done...

I am moving to Perth (hopefully) and I have seen that DRC applivations seem to be quicker, but my Migration company can not shed any straight answer on how I get my medical done prior to having a Haps number.

All my other paperwork is with the Migration company and so is my sponsored Nomination paperwork - I only have medicals left outstanding. Would anybody be able to share some wisdom on this please.

      Best regards

Cannot answer your question just giving your thread a bump so maybe someone who can will see it.

For what it's worth and again i am not sure but i think your visa application can be lodged without all documents being ready, for instance we applied in 09 for a 457 and if my memory serves me correctly our application was lodged weeks before we went for medicals.. What Agent are you using? have you researched them?..

      Hope it works out.
      Good Luck

We submitted a ENS121 visa in dec 2011.
We had our medicals done in October. The panel doctor sent the result to Sydney with a ref no and the when my agent sent the DRC application , it was linked up to the meds. The DRC app wasnt even lodged in Sydney but melbourne, so they do end up in correct place.
The panel doctor just needs to do them and send to OZ.
They do lots every day , so they should know this.
Where are you having your meds done?
      regards janine

Thank you for the tips Gracie and Janine,

Brentwood is my nearest panel Doctor, so I will give them anothwer call on the matter. My migration agent has not replied to me (again) on this subject.

I have had it made clear from the company sponsoring me that they only intend to carry on with a 121 Visa rather than a 457 aswell, which makes life a little easier to work out.

Anyhow , I had better be nice to my Agent (finding that hard!) in the mean time and get him progressing...

      Cheers

Read here, your agent should know all this.

I got the links by simply searching the immi site for decision ready applications. Should help to answer your questions.

Sounds to me like your agent has lodged the application already as a standard application. If so I don't think it can be a DRA and can't be changed to one. maybe that's why they are ignoring you!

Hi shorestitch, we have done our medicals in December 2011 at Bridge Clinic at Maidenhead before lodging ENS 121 visa application however when the request to book medicals was refused by London Knightsbridge clinic.

As we done medicals before visa lodging application the clinic has posted our medicals to Sydney and Health Operations Centre confirmed our medicals have been finalized with 10 days when I emailed them to confirm the receipt.

Becuase of the delays at employer end we have not yet lodged the visa application. But I think not all the clinics do medicals before lodging visa appliaction. Try Brentwood, if they refused contact Maidenhead clinic. They will cost you less and also you will have good experience with them.

      Best luck.

That is some great information from the above several people. It basically seems that the DRA is sent by my Migrant agent, I get given a HAPs number - I then have three weeks to get the medicals done and back to for the whole thing to be considered a Decision Ready Application still....well thats what I can understand from the link that Rammy girl sent. I will look into various panel doctors still - with regards to price over convenience and give them a call for some advice.

Thank you once again for lots of help, its lifted my afternoon!
