What happens to SMP under the Expression of Interest Scheme?

Hi All,

may be a bit soon to ask, but does anyone have any ideas whether the state sponsored lists will continue under the expression of interest scheme they are planning to bring in?

The FAQ mentions a state migration plan and nominated occupations.
The main differences seem to be that you will have to specify in you EOI first if you want to be nominated by a state. If your EOI is accepted, you rank high and somebody manually select you from the database, you will be invited to apply for the visa.

This implies a list of occupations in demand in the state migration plan with a ceiling per occupation or group of occupations.
