Alaska Posted August 29, 2011 Share Posted August 29, 2011 I have read on here before that you can apply for the 175/176 visa whenever you like. I think you have to leave Oz for a little bit when it's granted though. If you don't have enough points to do it yourself, then your employer can sponsor you after 2 years I believe. rammygirl Posted August 30, 2011 Share Posted August 30, 2011 Your employer can sponsor you from day one for PR. If you don't wait 2 years you will need a skills assessment though. As said, you can apply for a 175 or 176 visa now if you qualify. The last visa granted will cancel any previous ones so if you are granted the 175/6 it will replace the 457.
