175 visa..... Am i the only one?

Hi, hope you don't mind me asking but where did you find out that the 175 visa is taking 3+ years? We were going to be applying for a 175 over the next couple of months as when i initially spoke to a migration agent they said this was the visa to go for and it takes roughly 18-24months.

Of course I don't mind we were told by our agents 18-24 months but after reading on here and the fact that groups 1&2 will all get priority over ours I'm guessing it will be a looooong wait, sorry if I misinformed you x

Yeh we are 175, applied August 09, been patiently waiting and agent advised us that we would be finalised by 31st Dec.

So a bit more waiting but hey ho... At least we will know by the end of the year!
I also think I may be the only hairdresser too... Lol

for all you who want to use a agent dont they rip u off its very easy go on immi site apply ye self i did

hahaha i was just thinking the same thing. Yes we are waiting for a 175 too since aug 09 . Its good to know were not alone .... As everyone else changed to the 176. Cheers carolyn

Yeh bring on the CO's for the 175's!!! Lol
I'm not sure whether to book medicals and police checks as they seem to be working on June 09 at the moment, they seem to be ripping right through them. Well the 176's that is... I've yet to see a pure 175 get allocated a CO.
