Both just had a general check over like ours - height, weight, check eyesight, do a urine sample - definitely no needles. My 13 year old had an xray, I think its children over the age of 11 that have to have these.
Hope this helps.

Hi Kim
Thanks for that! I bet she was unimpressed!
Poor love! Are they excited about going though?

Hi,
Grace my 6 year old is very excited and its all she talks about. Emily varies from one day to the other, I think deep down she is excited but also nervous - teen years and hormones - a nightmare!!!

Oooh how exciting!! It must be nerve-wracking for you too hoping that they are going to love it out there. I'm sure they will. Oooooh how I look forward to the teenage years
They are like mini teenagers now so goodness knows what they will be like! All good fun eh!
We have two girls aged 8 and 7 and they know we have applied for visas and are excited about going but I wonder if they really understand the enormity of it all. Saying that, children seem to adapt so easily don't they! Much easier than us!

Hi Carla
Oh children definitely adapt easier than we do! Both my girls are very outdoor types and Grace is very outgoing (in other words never shuts up!
) so I think they'll settle ok, but yes it is a big worry. Emily has taken great interest in looking at the schools on the internet in the areas that we're hoping to settle, so I'm glad she's taking any interest at all. Grace definitely doesn't understand the enormity of it all, but is that a blessing in disguise?
Teenage years - at least you have two close together you can get it over and done with in one go - I've got 7 years between my two - didn't time that too well did I??? Think I will be doolally by the time Grace has gone through it

Love it!! My hubby says he's going to live in the garage when the girls are in their teens! Says the thought of living with three hormonal women will drive him insane!
Cheeky bugger!
Great that Emily is taking an interest and looking at schools on the net.
Hope it all goes well for you and you have a fab life in Oz!
