we are homeless nomads at the moment wandering the northern wastelands of england (staying with family and friends ...dont mention the wastland bit if you ever meet any of them will you?) our home was packed and containerised last friday and has left for oz today ...I feel I should have been at a port waving a flag ...... but may have been escorted away by a policeman if spotted by any Customs official croaking my rendition of ....... "I am sailing .."

We are living out of suitcases and begging time on friends pc's .... I know how the "resistance" must have felt during the war ..though I neither speak with a french accent or own a double breasted mac or a jaunty beret!

Our party is a week on saturday and at a last count on guest numbers I am beginning to feel people are VERY glad to see the back of us or we have more friends then EVER bothered to send us christmas cards!!!

We fly off to san francisco on 17th august for a 10 day holiday then arrive in Oz 27th ..... then my mission on "teach them how o speak english proper like what I does" ...really begins!

My tablets must be due ... I have that tingling starting in my fingers again and the nurse is rattling the keys to my padded cell!

My puter dropped dead on 1st July. Took delivery of a new one on Monday 7th. Took till Thursday 10th to get teh thing to work to my liking. Grrrrr. That man Gates has a LOT to answer for....

Was planning not to spend much time on here today but late last night chaos erupted with the news that Billy Braveheart has been critically injured in a car crash in Perth on the evening of Friday 11th July.

The last I heard was about 8 hours ago. At the time, Billy's doctors were saying that he is still critically ill but that his condition is stable. They thought he would not get thrugh Friday night because they could not get his blood pressure etc to settle, but that has now become stable.

He has multiple fractures but also severe damage to multiple internal organs, including a ruptured liver. He has suffered so much internal bleeding that they have had to replace all of his own blood.

They operated on Friday night, soon after her was admitted, but could not stop the bleeding so they packed his innards with padding in the hope that pressure would help to stop the bleeding. They plan to operate again on Tuesday, all being well. He is in ICU on life support.

Nobody saw the accident happen. A passer by saw the wreckage of Billy's car, stopped, saw Billy alone on the car and raised the alarm. The police say he could have swerved to avoid something and lost control, or he could have been rammed off the road by another vehicle which failed to stop and failed to report teh accident. Billy was unconscious when the emergency services reached him and has been unconscious ever since. Initially that was caused by shocl & blood loss. Now it is deliberate, caused by drugs in ICU.

I am just praying that he will pull through and waiting for further news. He is a 46 year old brickie and an immensely nice man.
