well its finally happened,,, got the message from visa go, our agent saying that our case officer (yes we got one!!!!! wooohoo) is asking for our police checks as the medicals are ok.... hi all, well its been a busy month for us over here in good ol scotland,,,,, posted police checks last week... hope alls ok... (i dont think we have been the wrong side of the law..?.. er .. hope not.. anyway lol).. then went to glasgow and got the x rays and meds done....(ooooo .. blood test... i aint good with needles(john).. but was ok... however the look on marie and the kids faces was enough for me not to look round.... god im brave..lol... .. and of course on the 29th of april we are off to...

hope this doesnt sound a bit daft but we are looking at going to brisbane/gold coast area and i was wondering that as a time served and TRA approoved mechanic (diesel and petrol) do i have to do any courses or go to college or require some sort of certification to work ? it might seem a bit daft but im reading all sorts of stuff with other trades and thought i might as well ask the question....

hi there, im coming over to brisbane in may 08 for a look around , anyone know how much i can earn as a diesel mechanic.(incl overtime) im hgv mercedes trained also went to bmw , vauxhall etc and ex AA and now RAC so have loads of diagnostic experience good on electrics,air systems,hydraullics etc. worked on just about everything from audi to porsche, cars ,vans, busses and trucks, trailors forklifts and all sorts of mechanical handling equipment....fully trained and TRA approoved..
