leaving Blighty on Saturday 21st for a couple of well overdue weeks in Perth. Hopefully (although I said that last time) this *will* actually be the last visit before I move...

I'd need to redo my meds and police checks - just too much hassle, probably take longer to do that than to wait for the 175.
In the meantime, my landlord has decided to sell the house I'm renting and forewarned me of impending notice. which was a shock and a bummer.
but then I got a phonecall yesterday telling me they've changed their minds and they're not selling after all - probably realised how **** the market is at the moment - theres a glut of houses for sale around...

and the 8 month mark comes and goes..
like a lot of paper based applications from August, Sept and October, nothing is moving.
going to the High Commission next week to ask about a spouse visa as they can get granted really quickly.
However, I'm not sure if this is possible given that we don't yet live together (the only reason being a lack of visa, not a lack of time in the relationship) and this seems to be a pretty major requirement. We'll see.

so the move in the processing date was just a typo.
fan-****ing-tastic.
worse than that, its gone back a day.
Theres been no real movement on the processing date now since Feb/March (might be more, I wasn't checking before that..). Worse still, I saw a link, which I cant find now, which indicated that on-line applications are preferentially processed over paper ones which are now done on a best endeavours basis.
I'd like to know why this wasn't...
