  1. Hi, Just looking at your message, me and wife and 2 kids (girls 4 & 6), currently live in Sydney but are moving down to Figtree in the new year. Kids will probably be going to Figtree public school. Whats it like down there, have you got kids that went to Figtree schools? Is there really a pub called Nags head? Any info appreciated. My wife is from Manchester and I'm Welsh.
  2. Hi Mary, thanks for all your info, we've takenit onboard and started looking at picnic point, what's the area like, are there good schools, and it looks like there's a little beach down in The park??? thanks
  3. Hi Dave, we've just moved from The uk last week as I have a job sorted in Bankstown Airport, so we're trying to find a place to live close to the beach and not to far from work, house prices in Maroubra don't seem to bad considering but we have 2 children aged 3 & 5 so want a good safe location with good schools, could you give me any info on this location, especially the schools? thanks
  4. Hi all, We're moving out to Sydney next month from Wales, myself and wife are 38&39 and 2 girls aged 3&5. We've being researching the Hills district, can anyone let me know of good schools/pre schools or just nice safe areas within the Hills? All info appreciated. Thanks Gavin

  6. Hi myself, wife and 2 daughters aged 3&5, are moving to Sydney next month from South Wales. I've secured a job in Bankstown Airport so am looking at areas close. Chipping Norton seems nice, secure, modern and looks like a little beach near the lake, this is all observations just looking on the internet, can anyone give me any information on this area? And what would be the local schools for my daughters and are they good? Any info appreciated, thanks. Gavin
  7. Hello, Myself, wife and 2 daughters aged 3 and 5 are moving out to Sydney from the UK next month as i have secured a job in Bankstown Airport, We have friends living in Manly, Cromer and Frenchs Forest and seems as these places are so expensive we're looking at somewhere in-between our friends and work, the Ryde area looks a good area approx 12 miles to friends and the same to work (or surrounding areas like Eastwood or Lanecove). Can anyone let me know if its good for families, safe, good schools, good pre schools? We've got a budget of around $700 per week for a rental property. Any info appreciated.
  8. Hi, thats great info thanks very much. My eldest daughter will be going to school in January as she'll be 6 in January, my youngest will be 4 so she'll have to go to a Nursery or pre school for 2 years, i guess australia hasnt got the free nurseries like the UK so does anyone know the rough cost per day in a nursery approx 8-3? Ans ive got a job sucured in Bankstown Airport working 7-4, how long do you think the commute would be? Thanks again
  9. Hi, I'm moving out with my wife and 2 daughters aged 3 and 5 in August, been looking at Castle Hill, Cheerybrook, Baulkham Hills or Kellyville as the prices there seem more reasonable than near the coast. Can anyone recommend any of these areas for safety/schools? Also where would be the nearest beach, we have friends in Manly but theres no way we could afford to live there? Any info would really be appreciated as August seems very fast approaching. Thanks Gavin
