  1. We didn't use an agent so we got the email direct from our CO. They also update your immi account to finalised - Granted. If you're using an agent I think they email the outcome to your agent for them to forward on to you but if you have assess to your immi account you could check yourself. Could well see you in Melbourne, we plan to be there by sept, going to book flights this weekend just not sure weather to have a stopover somewhere or do the journey in one, contemplating what is best when flying with a 1 year old..
  2. We front loaded all our medicals and PPC. Medicals were done in February and PCCs in March.
  3. Good spot! Will do now and happy to finally do so.
  4. Visa granted!!!! Can't believe it, woke up to that elusive grant email this morning! Think I've read it about 5 times already. can book flights now so we should be in Melbourne by September. Monk, I think I might be getting the first round in... What do you drink? Good luck to all those still waiting, don't lose heart, our grant came 1 day before we hit the 3 month mark!
  5. He will only be issued with his discharge papers once he has left the army and as for the military police checks they won't release anything. Everything he needs should be in his discharge papers. What visa is it that he is applying for?
  6. Monk, I'll drink to that! When do plan on moving to Melbourne (if your visa comes through this week say)? We were hoping to move this Sept time, visa permitting. I know what you mean with the process driving you mental. When we woke up to an email from our CO yesterday we were so excited thinking our grant had arrived , only to have our hopes smashed when we read it and he was requesting another document... anyway the wait continues, think a bit of world cup therapy is needed to keep my mind off it. Predictions for the game? Germany 2-1 winners for me.
  7. Hi all, how's the April group going? Anyone got lucky and been put out of their misery with a visa grant email? We were asked to provide further information again today... One of the documents we uploaded was corrupt and they could not view the information so had to send it through again. Hopefully it won't delay us too much. Well lets hope we who are left waiting hear something this week... Good luck all!
  8. Our CO got back to us this morning to say that they have processed our application but the File providing evidence for overseas work experience was corrupt and that we would have to resend it. He mentioned nothing about the medicals but when I checked my immi account to view the work experience file I noticed that the medical part had changed to "no medical information is requested for this individual". Anyway I have now resent the information they requested via email and Bcc'ed myself to check that it was working fine and that the attachments work! Fingers crossed we hear something in the next few days...!!
  9. yeah its additional to the PCC. There are plenty of people who don't do it and are never asked and it is lengthy, thats why my advise would be to do it if you can, because if you don't and you are then asked for it, it can take a while to gather all your information causing further delays to your application.
  10. This is from the email the CO sent me. Form 80 is a bit of a pain but not everyone gets asked to do it. My advise would be to do it though, we never and was then asked to do so... Form 80 All applicants over 16 years of age are requested to complete and return a Form 80 Personalparticulars for assessment including character assessment, which is available on our websiteat http://www.immi.gov.au/myvisa/form80. Please note that this form is required regardless of whether or not a copy has been previouslyprovided. Evidence of Character In order to be granted a visa for entry to Australia you must meet the character test. Bothapplicants must provide a police clearance certificate from each country where they havelived for a total of 12 months or more in the last 10 years, these 12 months are calculatedcumulatively, not consecutively.
  11. Hi DavidsuperNurse, I'm in a similar position, had medicals 2 Feb and applied for the visa 18 Apr. when I go on to the emedical site I can't see anything and on my immi account it states that medical requirements for this individual have not yet been determined. It also says that medical documents are recommended in the upload documents section. This is the same for my wife and son also. I do have a CO who requested extra documentation (form 80 and discharge documents) but not medicals. This would leave me to believe that they can see them but I did email my CO last week to confirm that, as we have been waiting 11 weeks now. When (if) I get confirmation they can see my medical documents I will let you know.
  12. Congratulations!!! A long time coming, but at least you can enjoy the weekend now. No more checking your emails daily...
  13. Well, week 11 of waiting starts tomorrow. Back to checking our emails every morning after a weekend off... Good luck to all those waiting!!
  14. Congratulations on the Visa grants FOO and rh8463.
  15. I have just done exactly the same thing. What he needs is a letter from his Commanding Officer stating his willingness to discharge, this should include the fact that he has signed off and the date that he is due to leave. He will also need a testimony from his Commanding Officer, this is to prove that he is of good character .i.e not under any form of military disciplinary investigation. they will need to be signed by his CO and must have his contact details on. hope that helps.
