VISA GRANTED THIS MORNING! RCB Application Submitted 8th April RCB Approved 16th April Nomination Application Submitted 30th April Nomination Approved 29th April 187 Application submitted 29th May All documents on checklist attached to application 29th May Medicals done 10th June CO assigned and requested Form 80 - 28th July form 80 submitted 29th July VISA GRANTED 30th July 2014! I have found this thread extremely helpful and wish everyone else still waiting the best of luck with the process.

We applied for the nomination separately a month prior to putting the application in. The nomination was granted a month later and we submitted our application a couple of days after this. I'm not sure what further documentation they might request from us as we have covered everything but hopefully it'll just be granted without a need for anything. Good luck.

Hi we applied on the 29th May with police checks, medicals and everything needed on the check list and are still waiting. The nomination was approved within a month. My hubby has 3 years experience and an advanced diploma. Hope we don't have to wait too long

Hi No still not heard a thing. All our documents were attached when the application went in so just waiting......waiting and more waiting :confused:

We are in Melbourne but correspondence we've received says parramatta on. Thank you. me too.

Ill second that, definitely speculation. We submitted ours almost 6 weeks ago with everything attatched and there has been no CO or anything else as yet.

Ok thanks for your response. We just like hearing of other people in the same senario and how there's is progressing. Our nomination has been approved too and now waiting for our application to be processed. Haven't been assigned a CO yet. We applied on the 29th May though so it was a few weeks after you. All of our documentation is attached. Hope you manage to get yours approved soon.

Quick question, have you submitted your application yet too?

We can't see anything when we log in about the medicals but we have contacted immigration and they have advised the medicals were uploaded 8 days later.

We are in Melbourne but all the documentation that has been received from immigration has the parramatta office details on so I think it has been lodged with parramatta.

We have been in a similar situation but the other way around. Cutting a long story short we moved to Melbourne in August 2005. We settled for 6 years in which time we got married, got pregnant mid 2010 and then due to visa issues we ended up having to move back to the UK November 2010. It was the worst time of our lives. We loved being in Australia and it felt like our home. So, we moved back to the UK our daughter was born march 2011. In between arriving back in the UK and our daughter being born we really struggled to settle back in and there were a lot of tears. When our daughter was born it gave us something else to focus on but there was always this thing in the back of our minds that we weren't at home and couldn't see ourselves settling. 15 months passed, we had somewhat settled and decided to try for another baby. Our son was born Feb 2013 and we decided to buy a house. About 3 months into saving for a deposit I just had a sudden change of heart and said to my husband I think we are making a huge mistake and I want to go back to Australia. My husband agreed and said he would go back tomorrow. We decided to book a holiday to visit just to check it was definitely where we wanted to be having been back in the uk for 3 years. We visited in February earlier this year and were still very much In love with the place it felt like we were home. My husband managed to organise a job interview whilst we were here to discuss the possibility of sponsorship and he got the job! We returned to the Uk 2 weeks later to organise our move and immediately knew we were making the right decision. We are now back in Australia and can't wait to make some solid foundations for the rest of our lives. I know this is a bit different to your situation but my parents are also in Australia and are citizens. I completely understand how you must be feeling being away from them. I think had my parents been in the UK things would have been different and I don't know if we would feel quite as at home in Australia as we do. Our in laws weren't the most supportive in the UK so this helped our decision. However aside from the family aspect we felt like we didn't fit in, in the UK. Most of the people we knew were all about having a drink on the weekend and not really doing much or going anywhere for the kid, which isn't us. We enjoy spending time outdoors with the kids, going to places that the kids would enjoy and making the most of our family time. I suppose it all depends whereabouts you are from in the UK too. We are from Wigan which to me isn't the greatest of places but I admit there are plenty of other places in the Uk which would be great to bring up a family. For us Australia is home, whilst we will always miss family and friends back in the UK, the opportunities here far greater out weigh those that we had in the Uk both for us and our children. I wish you the best of luck with your move and I'm sure whatever you decide will be the right decision for you. We didn't want to live our lives thinking 'what if'. You might move back and decide you've made the wrong decision again but at least you've tried and your kids are young enough to adjust. (Sorry about the essay : ) )

Kevin, yes the nomination part was approved on the 29th May sorry not april. We submitted our application on the 29th May also. We only submitted it that way as my husband arrived onshore on the 27th May so we could remain on a bridging visa until the visa is (fingers crossed) granted.

We had our medicals on the 10th June and they were uploaded to our application by immigration on the 18th June.
