Hello kayley went through the vetassess process last year , working in the rail industry as a signalling technician I had limited domestic knowledge but still did the apprenticeship as an electrician then went into railway signalling for 23 years so thought I would go special electrician when I spoke to vetassess they said they assessed general and special electrician exactly the same way without a technical interview so I went the general electrician route , paperwork section can be a nightmare gathering evidence but the practical was a breeze

How long are visas valid for? Also do they run from the moment you land in Australia ? is it best too apply as a whole family or myself first then my family?

Hello I have worked on the railway as a signal maintenance and fault finder for network rail and British rail for 22 years I currently hold a IRSE licence 1.4.230v1 signal maintainer and fault finder I also hold SMTH and signal failure investigation competences ,I am currently a team leader in the London bridge area. i am looking to work and live in Australia with my wife and four children, can anyone help point me in the right direction,it's just too darn wet here for my liking and I would love to work on a big railway many thanks timmo
