Hi all, I'm seeking a bit of advice in regards to employment or recruitment agencies or temp agencies, whatever it's called here in the Sydney area.... basically my boyfriend is looking for a job, labor or construction is fine. I've met some people who say that these agencies are a good way to go and I'd like to try it out. My question is, has anyone else tried using an agency, and if so are there any that have a good reputation in Sydney or that anyone has had a positive experience with? Thanks for the help!

Hello all, I just booked my ticket to Sydney for the 7th of April, and I'm wondering how difficult it will be to find work this time of year. I'm not picky, just need something ASAP because I'm coming with limited funds. Also is it possible to get a job before coming over without going through a travel agency? Hi all, I am moving to Australia (from the USA) hopefully in late March or April. My visa is currently being processed and I am just starting to do some research to prepare myself for the big move. I'm really concerned about one aspect which is transportation. I'll be first moving to Sydney and wondering what other backpackers are doing to get to and from work. Is everyone just buying a car? I can't really afford that and was hoping people had found other solutions. Thanks! PS any general advice on getting ready/preparing to move would be appreciated as well, thanks!
